| Beautiful architecture resort (although rooms let in too much light) with super beach at high tide. Low tide exposes mud flats. The restaurant is a major disappointment. We went to town to find another (30 mins drive) on our last night. |

| generally, i love this chic hotel with its modern style, friendly staffs and also very yummy grilled fish with green curry sauce @ 4k restaurant. if someone ask for an improvement, i would say "just a mosquito". Pool villa was fantastic with tidy pool in front of a room, open-aired shower and funky nature stone wall. i loved it. |

My girlfriend and I stayed at Wora Bora mid-January 2008 and were well impressed with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and efficient and did not try to sell us things but were always willing to help find out information about booking external tours, taxis, etc.
The room we stayed in was gorgeous, dark wooden floors, flat screen TV, very comfortable huge bed and at a discount rate as it was booked through the internet. The pool was lovely and the food for breakfast was very tasty. I've stayed in many hotels across the world, and I would rate the room as probably one of the best.
However saying that, please don't stay there, because it was nice and quiet and I don't want it to become too popular and crowded!
The one minor point is that Hua Hin itself doesn't have a beach to compare to the one's in Koh Toa, etc. The beach is nice enough but the sea isn't bustling full of tropical fish and coral! |

Stayed for 10 nights from 12/1/08. Hotel is beautiful and very restful. Staff exceptional from start to finish. Food very good and reasonably priced. Loved every minute and cannot fault it. My husband did the Thai cookery course and we became good friends with the Executive Chef and the restaurant staff because of this. Kitchens are spotless and they are very happy to show you around them and explain how the food is made.
Not many Brits at hotel, mostly Swedish but this did not cause any problems. The Swedish were very friendly and spoke far better English than we did their mother tongue!
Slight construction noise sometimes from apartment blocks next door but they are almost finished.
Plenty of sunbeds - might not always get a prime spot but never a problem getting one around pool despite some placing their belongings on the beds early morning but not actually laying on them until late afternoon. That drives me nuts!!
Would return in a heartbeat but would also be tempted to wage a war with the sunbed blockers. |

Our first choice hotel here was the Hylton but that was fully booked when we applied and we then chose the Wora Bura. What a good decision that was. All of the super reviews of this hotel are true. We felt that the ground floor rooms were the best but everything from the service and the staff, the good quality and varied food at favourable prices and the pool and gardens were perfect The location out of town is not a problem as the hotel operate a free bus service into the evening and there are always plenty of taxis or tuk tuks to get you back . When we passed the Hylton and looked at the massed ranks of bodies and compared it to the space and better surroundings of the Wora Bura we were pleased that the Hylton had been full. The only downside is that at high tide the beach is covered and it is not possible to walk along it, However this applies to most of the beach at Hua Hin and the Wora Bura end is much quieter and allows you to walk to the Temple and beach bars and restaurants at the south end of the beach overlooked by a giant buddha
We certainly hope to go back for another visit |

My partner and I stayed at Wora Bura for 10 nights last year and absolutely loved it. Our third time back to Thailand (been to various other places throughout) over the last 3 years. We had a deluxe room which was perfect, we also believe the difference between the deluxe room and the superior room is only about 6 feet. The Pool restaurant (along the Italian) which is close to the beach and has a grassed area outside.
We tended to have lunch by the pool daily. The Chef was a lady who truley enjoyed that my partner chose to eat Tahi food (others ordering hamburgers, chips etc etc, so she always gave him a big grin whenever he ordered his lunch. It truely is so relaxing and if you need an injection of noise and shopping, Hua Hin is only 5 minutes by taxi, or you can go by the WB shuttle bus. We met a beautiful thai girl who has reasonably good english, she works in the main (breakfast) restaurant, we became good firend sand took her out with us on a couple of occassions. We were going to book to go back again next month in July, but the rates seemed to have increased somewhat. We have chosen to go to Bali as we have not been back for 9 years. We thoroughly recommend the Wora Bura, it is safe, relaxing and the staff are fantastic, especially Anne. I still talk to her on email and hope to visit again again. |

Really enjoyed our relaxing stay at this hotel. We stayed in a delux room and were most impressed. Food at pool restaurant was very good and the breakfasts were prob the best we had in our whole two plus weeks. A great place to just relax as its a few kms from actual town and you need to use the hotel shuttle which is free but only avail for a couple of trips in the morning and a few in the evening. Just one way too which is a pity. Think hotel needs to put the shuttle on for the whole day and have it going both ways :)
Would def return to this hotel if I just wanted to relax in luxury as thats what the Wora Bora is!!! |

We have just returned from the Wora Bura and must say we had a fantastic time. My group consisted of 9 people ranging in ages from 10 to 72 which also included a 22 year old.
Having read the previous reviews on the hotel I was a little apprehensive that it may be a little far out of the town. However, between the Hotels complimentary bus service and the excellent local taxis/tuk tuks and local bus service this was not an issue.
The hotel staff were extremely accommodating the rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool area was an oasis of calm,Beach area was clean, even though the time we were there it was high tide most of the day this did not distract from our enjoyment.
The only negative comment I have is the breakfast, it was rather boring and being from Britain I really do not like fish/soup and roast potatoes for breakfast? However, there was a good choice of pastries/breads and cereals to choose from.
For anyone thinking of staying at the Wora Bura, I would most certainly reccomend. Please make a visit to the Deja Vue restaraunt which is just outside the hotel, Jacob & Golf will make you feel extremely welcome any time day or night.
I would most certainly be visiting Hua Hin again in the future |
